MAHSASERIES

For this project, I was inspired by photograms to evoke the 80s aesthetic, reflecting the movie's vibe, which, despite being set in the present, felt reminiscent of the past due to the characters' clothing and style. I used this technique to reference the past while incorporating current elements to highlight the present. The women's identities were conveyed through their clothes, so I used floral-patterned fabric stained with a blood-red color to represent their experiences. Handwritten typography was used to signify their communication through voting, with the "X" symbol emphasizing their form of speech. I encountered challenges with typography, scanning fabrics, and establishing a cohesive visual hierarchy, especially when integrating credits. The critiques provided valuable insights, helping me understand what worked and what needed improvement, particularly in typography.
